HOSTING CCO EXAMINATIONS

Hosting Practical Exams

Site Layout

Using the information CCO provides and the instructions contained in the Practical Examination Test Site Coordinator Handbook, the Test Site Coordinator should prepare the equipment and lay out the test site.

Before the Proctor can begin testing, he/she will need to verify the test site has been laid out correctly. Copies of the Practical Examination Site Reports for each certification program can be found with the other Test Site Coordinator forms. CCO encourages Test Site Coordinators to use the Site Reports to check that all items are in order before the Proctor arrives. This will expedite the Proctor’s verification of the test site.

Full instructions on setting up a practical test site are contained in the Test Site Coordinator Handbook for each practical examination.

PERMANENT TEST SITES

Practical test sites that test on a regular basis may become permanent practical test sites. For such sites, the requirement for a site inspection prior to each test may be waived. This option is available only to test sites where there has been no change in test equipment, test site/location, and Test Site Coordinator in the last 12 months.

An annual full site report is required for permanent test sites.

Use the Permanent Practical Exam Test Site Application to apply for Permanent Test Site status. Probationary test sites may not apply.

SECURE TEST SITES

Test sites with limited access and/or enhanced security protocols that might interfere with the ability of testing personnel and/or CCO staff and Auditor to enter are required to indicate on their Test Site Applications that they are secure sites. They must also complete the enclosed Security Requirements Report and provide any associated documentation (such as the site’s formal security policy), all of which should be submitted along with the Test Site Application. All Secure Test Sites—including permanent Test Sites—must submit completed Security Requirement Reports annually.
