September 2017—As part of its continuing outreach to youth, highlighting the opportunities offered by the crane and rigging industry, NCCCO has entered into a partnership with the SC&R Foundation to provide successful grant applicants with CCO certification testing, free-of-fees.
In all, NCCCO is donating a total of six certification scholarships annually with a combined value of $2,010 for five years, a total commitment of more than $10,000.
“We are delighted to be able to support the efforts of the SC&R Foundation in their outstanding work to make the crane and rigging industry accessible to those who might not otherwise have the means to embark on a highly worthwhile career,” said NCCCO CEO Graham Brent.
Scholarship recipients would have up to one year to apply for testing in any one of NCCCO’s 25 certification categories using the funds awarded, he said.
The CCO Certification Scholarships are being offered as part of the SC&R Foundation’s Grants and Scholarships program. Get more information at https://scr-foundation.org/nccco-award/.
