February 2016—The Department of Labor and Industries (L&I) of the State of Washington has extended its contract with NCCCO for the development and maintenance of written exams for the state’s crane certifier program.
“We are pleased to continue this successful partnership with NCCCO, which helps to ensure the safety of the people of Washington State who work and live around construction cranes,” said Anne Soiza, assistant director of L&I’s Division of Occupational Safety and Health.
NCCCO was first contracted by the state’s L&I in 2008, since when more than 330 crane certifier exams have been taken. Under the agreement, which has now been extended through 2017, NCCCO works with the state’s subject matter experts to review and analyze test performance data on an ongoing basis, and provides consultation as needed on certification and psychometric issues.
