January 2016—As NCCCO’s popular Lift Safety Zone took center stage as part of its 20th Anniversary Program at the International Construction and Utility Equipment Exposition (ICUEE)—held September 29 through October 1, 2015, in Louisville, KY—NCCCO was also proud to participate in the ICUEE Benefit Auction. The Auction, which ultimately raised more than $29,000, was designed to help connect military veterans with quality jobs.
All proceeds for the auction went to The Call of Duty Endowment, which estimates that the funds will translate into 42 job placements for veterans. “It’s an honor for NCCCO to be able to contribute to this auction and continue to support veterans’ transition to civilian employment,” noted NCCCO Chief Executive Officer, Graham Brent.
NCCCO has a long history of supporting veterans and assisting serving military personnel in their certification efforts and has been an approved certification provider under the terms of the Montgomery G.I. Bill since 2001. NCCCO donated a Power Line Safety Package, which included a $300 voucher for CCO testing fees, NCCCO bomber jacket, a NCCCO limited edition 20th Anniversary black cap and polo shirt, and SC&RA’s Operating Cranes around Power Lines video and handbook.
