April 2013 - Fifty-eight attendees of the SC&RA Annual Conference—held April 2-6, at the Westin Kierland, Scottsdale, AZ—came out at sunrise to show their support for CCO certification programs. The popular CCO Fun Run/Walk—this year called the “Scottsdale Scramble”—is an enjoyable way of drawing attention to the importance of crane safety.
Participants ran and walked the 5K course across the scenic Kierland Golf Club. The golf course’s emerald green fairways surrounded by golden-colored desert grasses, lakes, dry desert washes, and strands of desert trees provided a beautiful backdrop for the annual NCCCO fundraiser.

Bucker HeavyLift Cranes sponsored the CCO Fun Run for the 14th straight year. Buckner President Doug Williams generously provided commemorative Scottsdale Scramble tee shirts, beverages, and snacks. “Buckner is pleased to put on this fun annual event to support NCCCO’s efforts to improve crane safety,” Williams said.
Participants are already looking forward to next year’s event, which will be held at the Boca Raton Resort & Cub, Boca Raton, FL.
