December 2010 - A new online application process is now available to candidates for CCO certification exams.
While a similar process has been available to candidates testing via computer for over two years, this is the first time that applications for paper-and-pencil test administrations have been handled in this manner.
The new online form is expected not only to make exam registration and payment easier but also to provide greater accuracy than with paper application forms. Compared with paper forms and mailed confirmations, the online form and verification via email speeds up the registration process and enables candidates to receive expedited confirmation of receipt of their applications.
The new online application provides a convenient alternative for candidates who prefer to register and pay using the Internet. “During a typical month IAI handles applications for more than 1,200 candidates taking traditional pencil-and-paper exams at NCCCO written exam administrations across the country,” noted NCCCO Program Manager, Joel Oliva. “The online form promises to streamline processing throughout the entire test registration and administration process.”
Currently, candidates can register online for the mobile, tower, and overhead crane operator written and recertification exams; online registration for the remaining CCO programs is expected to be available by January 2011.
