These sample questions are intended to convey something of the style and content of the Crane Operator Certification Program written examinations developed and administered by the National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO). They are not actual test questions, nor do they attempt to address all of the areas of knowledge tested on the CCO certification examinations. Response to these questions is not necessarily an indication of performance on the CCO examinations.
For testing purposes, the following notes apply:
- “N/A” means “Not Applicable.”
- The gross capacity is the maximum allowable crane loading as determined by the load rating chart and/or any other applicable limitation(s). Limitations may include, but are not limited to: line pull, parts of line, rope type, hoisting point, etc.
